Calling All Collaborators! Open Call: In Tandem We’re thrilled to announce that our third show, In Tandem, will take place on Sunday, March 9th. This exhibition explores the power of collaboration in contemporary art, celebrating creative partnerships between artists who share a life, work, or artistic dialogue. We invite collaborative partners to submit their work, reflecting on how shared voices harmonise, clash, or amplify to create something greater than the sum of their parts. Function Meets Form - A Night to Make the Functional Beautiful
 Join us on Friday, February 7th, for our first workshop at apt49c! Inspired by Italian designer Bruno Munari, this hands-on session will explore his philosophy of simplicity and play in art. Participants will transform everyday objects into functional yet captivating art pieces, blending beauty with utility. | Bring an object from home—perhaps a bathroom cup, a stapler, or a paperclip box—and reimagine it through Munari’s playful lens. No object? No problem! We’ll have materials on hand to spark your creativity. The images on the left and right are from Munari’s book From Afar It Was An Island.  |  Expect to unwind, get creative, and enjoy some drinks and light canapés inspired by Bruno Munari's home country, Italy, while making art that enriches your everyday life. We hope you’ll make a few new friends and connections too! |

Friend’s Open Call: Have a Good One! at WhiteBox
We’re excited to share that Debora Maurelli (featured in our Unfolding Roots show) is co-curating an upcoming exhibition with Christy Li. Have a Good One! will open on February 20th at WhiteBox NYC, with submissions due by January 13th. This exhibition transforms the everyday grocery store into a space of exploration and critique, reflecting on the absurdities of economic inequality and the normalisation of inflated prices. Artists are invited to submit works that challenge perceptions of consumer culture.
